Projects

In this section, you can read about the current projects I have underway. These are not the only projects that I am working on but those that are being actively worked on.

TETROPOLIS

Tetropolis is a 2-5 player tile laying, worker placement, card driven engine builder where players will build a small town while carefully managing their population against the number of available jobs, pollution, and their citizens' happiness. A tight economy and limited worker spaces create a play space that rewards planning and activating Zones on the player board generating points, money, happiness, pollution, and more.

Players will move their worker on a rondel to different locations; purchasing blueprints at the Architect, hiring Contractors to build those blueprints, take a loan out at the Bank, buy permits at the City, or build roads or landscaping at their respective locations. Secret Agendas dealt at the beginning of the game (and which can also be purchased at one of the locations) and End Game goals (randomly drawn during setup) assist in guiding the player without railroading their decision making.

THIEF IN THE KEEP

Thief in the Keep is a 2-4 player hidden movement game where one player takes on the role of a thief tasked with stealing specific artifacts from a wizards keep, while up to three other players control the inhabitants of that keep, a dog, an apprentice, and a wizard, who are attempting to capture to thief.

Thief in the Keep makes use of a numbered grid and line-of-sight rules for movement and spotting the thief. The thief has a number of tools at their disposal to avoid detection and outmaneuver those hunting them, while the dog, apprentice, and wizard must work together to capture the thief. 

Current State: Art development and blind testing.




ENCAMPMENT

Encampment is a scenario-driven solo game with 4X elements. A player will explore a small map made of hexagons revealing resources to be exploited and used to expand their presence on the map.

Currently, there are three scenarios in development; Invaders, The Lich, and The Count of Blood Moon Court. Each scenario has the player arranging the board, building the exploration deck and enemy draw bag, and setting the round tracker differently. Multiple difficulty settings create added variability.
